The Bridge
The Bridge House was the seminal rock venue in East London in the 1970's and the first pub in the world with its own record label. Throughout the seventies and eighties it was a regular home to such bands as Iron Maiden, Depeche Mode, The Blues Band and Secret Affair as well as the Bridge House generated Wasted Youth.
The Bridge House shut its doors to live music in 1982 and was bulldozed into the ground a couple of years later. The Bridge House is still remembered fondly by all that have played and visited the pub beneath the pylons on the Canning Town roundabout. This site covers the years that it was run by Terry Murphy, 1976-1982.

A gallery of old black & white photos of various artists perfoming at the bridge. We recently scanned in a bunch of old photographs that have been lying untouched for years in the archives. Many have never been seen before. They include some very well known faces along with others not so well known and some that we have no idea who they are. Can you help?
